Interested in Volunteering or Hosting a Player Check Back in 2026

Our event will only be as strong as our Volunteer Corp. Yes, we believe that because of a great volunteer group, we will have a great event. But, without you our volunteers we are behind the eight ball. We will be standing on #18 with a putter only. We need you and are hopeful that when you do volunteer you get as much out of it as each and every WAPT player does. Their appreciation is through the roof. They know week in and week out that their tour itself will not survive without the incredible work behind the scenes to pull it off.

Areas where Volunteers are Needed

Come back in 2026 to sign up for available positions!

Host Housing

Private housing provides a great service to the players, allowing them to save on their weekly expenses while giving them a safe and comfortable home environment to spend the week. Though you will only be housing these professionals for a short time, we have found that many lasting friendships are established during this time together.

Housing needs will be from July 27th - August 2nd.

Scoring

Scoring Area Volunteers are responsible for verifying all player's scorecards at the conclusion of their round. One volunteer(s) will review the online live scoring and ensure each player's physical scorecard reflects the computer hole-by-hole score. The second volunteer will double-check there are two signatures present before players exit the scoring area.

Starter

During the tournament we will be using both hole #1 and hole #10 to start from. AKA double tees. This means we need a starter for both tee boxes. The starter is in charge of making sure players are teeing off on time and announcing player names before they tee off to introduce them to the spectators.

On-Course Spotter

The golf course has a few holes that need a volunteer to spot golf balls off the tee box. This position will be responsible for watching players tee off on a certainhole and help track their golf balls. This is a great way to find a shady spot to watch the golfers play while assisting them. We suggest bringing a foldable chair, water jug, and sunscreen.

Hospitality

The Colorado heat and elevation can get to some of these players. Volunteers working in the hospitality aspect are responsible for filling coolers with ice and water, ensuring players have snacks, and sunscreen around the entire course.

On-Course Shuttle Driver

The golf course has a few holes that need a volunteer(s) to help transport players from one hole to another. Shuttle volunteers must be at least 16 years of age and have a valid driver's license.

TOURNAMENT FAQs

  • Private housing provides a great service to the players, allowing them to save on their weekly expenses while giving them a safe and comfortable home environment to spend the week. Though you will only be housing these professionals for a short time, we have found that many lasting friendships are established during this time together.

Here is what to expect as a Host Home:

    • All players should have their own transportation for the week

    • If you can host more than one player (some travel together), we ask that each player have their own bed

    • Meals are not required; however, most players will appreciate any meals or other provisions that may be available

    • Players often need to do laundry and may ask to use the washer and dryer. If you prefer the player not to use them, please inform the player when they arrive.

  • Housing is for the player only (no caddies, parents, significant others,

    siblings, pets, etc.)

  • The players won’t register until three weeks before the event.

  • The Housing Director will provide you with the player(s) name, cell, and email that will be staying with you three weeks before the event. The player will also receive your name, cell, and email from the Housing Director. It is the player’s responsibility to reach out to you to provide you with their travel plans. But should you feel the need, it is perfectly fine to reach out to the player first.

PLAYER COMMITMENTS TO THE TOURNAMENT WILL NOT HAPPEN UNTIL 3 Weeks Out…thus this is when names will be assigned.

  • Please meet by the Blue ANNIKA WAPT tour truck. This is where you will receive all the information you need to complete your shift.
